Roush’s Tuned Mass Dampers (TMDs) are custom designed devices that are tuned to control vibration at a specific frequency. Starting with identifying the source and frequency of the vibration Roush can design, develop, test, and produce TMDs for a wide variety of applications.
Tuned mass dampers are an extremely effective method of reducing resonant vibration. Using our customized optimization software (Roush TMDTM) which interfaces directly with our proprietary viscoelastic materials library, we are able to develop and predict damper performance before any prototype parts are made. Roush is capable of building TMD products on both a prototype low volume level and for high volume mass production.
